Three petrol pumps were seized for allegedly violating the model code in the city on Thursday. These petrol pumps were found to be filling petrol/diesel after the vehicle owners presented a yellow slip.

A five-member team visited various petrol pumps and found that three of them had an understanding with a political party.

The officials found 500 to 600 yellow slips in their possession.

The officials seized the petrol pumps, and gave three days time to the owners to give an explanation.

The three stations are Vijayalakshmi Enterprises near Padavalarevu on Eluru Road, Balaji Filling Station near Dr. NTR Health University and Lakshmi Oil Company at Chuttugunta.
