One person was injured when four persons attacked him over shifting of sand at Moghalrajpuram in the city. The injured was admitted to hospital and his condition is stated to be stable.

According to Central Zone Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) M. Satyanandam, that accused had an argument with a labourer in shifting sand on to the hill and attacked him three days ago. However, the issue came to the notice of Machavaram police on Monday.

Following a complaint, police registered a case and identified the accused through CCTV footages. A hunt has been launched to nab the culprits, the ACP said.
