Ch. Narsing Rao took charge as Executive Officer of Sri Durga Malleswara Swamyvarla Devasthanam on Indrakeeladri here on Thursday. He took charge from outgoing EO V. Trinadh Rao near sanctum sanctorum of Kanaka Durga temple.

Later, speaking to reporters, Mr. Narsing Rao said that he would not tolerate any corruption and irregularities in the temple. Top priority would be accorded to boost the image of temple. “I will ensure that my acts and deeds will not bring any disgrace to the temple or the government,” he said.

Mr. Trinadh Rao said that his one year stint in the temple gave him immense happiness. Three major events, Dasara festival, sakambari festival and Bhavani deeksha were perfectly organised during last year. “Though I was handling three duties -- Guntur DC, Dwaraka Temple in charge and Kanaka Durga temple in charge -- at a time, the job was challenging,” he said adding, “the credit goes to the staff who extended their cooperation.”

Later, Temple employees felicitated both of them.
