YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy launched a bitter attack on TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu as he launched his campaign in Guntur district on Tuesday.
Addressing a massive public meeting here on Tuesday evening, Jagan said Mr. Naidu never had credibility in his public life and has always captured power through devious means.
“This will be the final election for Mr. Naidu who is now 65 years. I am 20 years younger than him, and I will be in politics for 30 more years. I will hold on to credibility, which I have inherited from my father,” Jagan said.
He added that Mr. Naidu was responsible for the division of the State, and that he had colluded with the Congress to split it.
“While I was in jail, Mr. Naidu held secret talks with the Congress high command in New Delhi sinisterly plotting for the division of the State. He even had his MPs’ support the T-Bill in Parliament,” Jagan said.
Reiterating that he would change the lives of the poor and marginalized sections through his welfare policies, Jagan sought a decisive mandate to party candidates Vallabhaneni Balashowry (Guntur LS) and Alla Ramakrishna Reddy (Mangalagiri).
He also toured the villages of Tumuluru, Chivaluru, Siripuram, Athota, Nandivelugu.
