Noted paediatrician R.Venkateswara Rao was presented the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Roots Health Foundation here on Sunday.
The awards usually given away on the occasion of the Doctor’s Day were given way to winners by Vijayawada East MLA Yalamanchilli Ravi and Vijayawada Income Tax Commissioner K.Ajay Kumar.
The meeting was inaugurated by Andhra Chamber of Commerce and Industry M.Murali Krishna. The Roots Foundation Service Award was given to eye specialists K.Sivaramakrishna, the award to best orthopedician was given to P.J. Brahmanand, award for best ayurvedic physician was given to Government Ayurvedic former prinicipal M.L.Naidu. Sentineni Hospital MD Moova Padma, business man Mohanchand Jaju, Time Hospital chairman Puvvada Ramakrishna, VIMS Chairman T.Arjuna Rao, IMA president L.Subba Rao, industrialist Anne Sivanageswara Rao, Krishna district anti-liquor awareness Committee chairman Kolluri Venkateswara Rao, N.M.A. state president C.N. Murthy and Roots Health Foundation chairman P.V.S.Vijayabhaskar, participated in the programme.
