South Central Railway (SCR) Vijayawada Division Raja Basha Officer N. Chiranjeevi has advised the students to learn ‘Hindi’ language, which was much in use in majority of the States.
Speaking at a programme organised in connection with ‘Hindi Dinotsav’, at Kakaraparti Bhavanarayana College (KBN) here on Saturday, he said that Hindi was the most popular language after English in the world. He explained the students on implementation of ‘Raja Basha’ in various government departments.
College principal P. Krishna Murthy, vice-principal V. Narayana Rao, Junior College principal S. Sashi Kala, Hindi department head P. Devaraj and other faculty participated.
‘The right candidate’
Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha state general secretary Chikkala Rajanikanth has said that BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi is the right person, who can save the country from corruption and development the country in all spheres. In a joint statement issued here on Saturday, Mr. Rajanikanth and BJP city unit president Umamaheswara Raju said the party took the right decision in choosing Mr. Modi as Prime Minister candidate. They predicted that BJP would win with flying colours under the leadership of the Gujarat Chief Minister in the next elections. The party activists burst crackers and distributed sweets. They expressed happiness over the party’s decision in announcing the PM candidate for 2014 elections.
Advice to youth
Speakers at the ‘Youth Services Celebrations’ expressed concern over poor social consciousness among the students. Many problems are arising due to lack of responsibility in youngsters leading to mental stress. The programme was organised by Rotary Club of Vijayawada Visionary Couples at KBN College on Saturday.
Psychiatrist R.K. Ayodhya and Club president V. Sravani observed that students are ignoring social consciousness, which was causing many problems and stressed the need to enlighten the youth on problems in the society and other core issues.
