Majority of key candidates for Vijayawada and Machilipatnam Lok Sabha (LS) and 16 Assembly constituencies filed their nominations on Wednesday, with just two days remaining for others to file their papers.

Former Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy filed his nomination on behalf of the YSRC for the Machilipatnam LS seat.

Arch-rivals Kesineni Srinivas (Nani) of the TDP and Devineni Avinash of the Congress submitted nominations for the Vijayawada LS constituency. Mandali Buddha Prasad and Simhadri Ramesh Babu of the TDP and the YSRC filed nominations for Avanigadda.

YSRC’s K. Rakshananidhi, Parasa Rajiv Rathan of the Congress, M. Prabhakara Rao and B. John Sundara Rao of the CPI (M) filed nominations in Tiruvur (SC).

Chinnam Ramakotaiah of the Congress and Muddaraboina Venkateswara Rao of the TDP filed nominations for Nuzvid. Dutta Ravi Sankar of the YSRC and Boyapati Sowjanya of the Jai Samaikyandhra Party (JSP) filed nominations for Gannavaram.

Raavi Venkateswara Rao of the TDP filed nomination for Gudivada. Borra Chalamaiah of the JSP filed nomination for Kaikalur. TDP’s Kagitha Venkata Rao filed papers for Pedana. Kollu Ravindra and Tirumalasetti Niranjana Rao of the TDP and the Congress respectively filed nominations for Machilipatnam.

Varla Ramaiah of the TDP and D.Y. Das of the Congress filed their papers for Pamarru (SC).

Velampalli Srinivasa Rao of the BJP and Jaleel Khan of the YSRC filed nominations for the Vijayawada West constituency. Vangaveeti Radha Krishna of the YSRC and Gadde Ramamohan of the TDP filed nominations for Vijayawada East.

TDP’s Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, YSRC’s Jogi Ramesh and Congress’s Appasani Sandeep filed nominations for Mylavaram. Tangirala Prabhakar Rao and M. Jaganmohan Rao of the TDP and the YSRC respectively filed nominations for Nandigama (SC). YSRC’s Samineni Udayabhanu, Congress’s Vemula Nageswara Rao and V. Ramakrishna of Lok Satta filed nominations for Jaggaiahpet.
