Development had taken a back seat in the State in the past four years with the accumulation of revenue deficit. The State budget introduced on Thursday was just a jugglery of numbers, said YSR Congress Party MLA and Public Accounts Committee chairman B. Rajendranath Reddy.

Analysing the budget proposals at the central office in Hyderabad, Mr. Rajendranath Reddy said the figures shown by Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu “do not add up” and they do not reflect reality. He said the facts and figures given in the Governor’s address and in the State budget were far from reality.

The State government was presenting a rosy growth rate, but the revenue deficit was increasing every year. “If the growth rate is so good, why is there a deficit?” he asked.
