About 20,000 students from the 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh wrote JEE Advanced examination held on Sunday.
As per the JEE Main 2018 results, as many as 2,31,024 candidates qualified for appearing in JEE Advanced 2018 across the country. The examination is conducted for admission to IITs.
Elaborate arrangements
For the first time, the JEE Advanced examination was held in online mode. Elaborate arrangements were put in place to ensure smooth conduct of the exam.
As far as Andhra Pradesh State is concerned, it went off peacefully. Great caution was exercised to check the possibility of malpractice as candidates were asked not to wear jewellery, full sleeve shirts, high heels and shoes for the exam.
As many as 38,231 candidates from AP and Telangana appeared for the exam. The exam consisted of two objective type papers. Each paper including questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with two different sections in the first paper and three in the second.
