IRCTC unveils package tours for pilgrims

‘Nava Jyotirlinga, Ganga Yamuna and Dakshina Bharat yatras will be conducted between April 3 and May 4’

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) Limited will arrange Bharat Darshan tour packages to Jyohirlinga yatra, Ganga Yamuna and Dakshin Bharat yatra during summer holidays.

The yatras will cover Bhima Shankar, Nageswar, Somnath, Ujjain Mahakaleswar, Omkareswar, Trayambkeswar, Agra, Madhurai, Haridwar, Ayodhya, Prayag, Varanasi, Gaya, Tiruchirapalli, Ranganadhaswamy and Bruhadeswara temples, Rameswaram, Madhura Meenakshi, Kanyakumari, Padmabhanada Swamy temple, Guruvayar Sri Krishna, Sripuram Golden temple, Tirupati and Sri Kalahasti temples, said IRCTC Joint General Manager N. Sanjeevaiah at a press conference held here on Monday.

The 12-day Nava Jyotirlinga yatra will begin on April 3, from Renigunta, and the train will halt at Gudur, Nellore, Ongole, Vijayawada, Khammam, Warangal and Securendabad. The train will have 14 coaches including 12 sleeper, one AC 3-tier and one pantry car.

Package cost

The package cost is Rs.13,020 for sleeper class and Rs.15,540 per AC 3-tier class, Mr. Sanjeevaiah said.

IRCTC Dy. General Manager R.K. Chand said the 12-day Ganga Yamuna yatra will start on April 18, from Renigunta and the package train will halt at Kadapa, Yerraguntla, Gooty, Kurnool, Mahaboobnagar, Kacheguda, Kazipet and Ramagundam stations.

The train will have 14 coaches and the package cost is Rs.11,340 for sleeper class and Rs.13,860 for AC coach.

Vijayawada area manager K. Madhusudan Rao said the Dakshina Bharat nine-day yatra will begin on May 4, at Secunderabad. The train will halt at Warangal, Khammam, Vijayawada, Ongole, Nellore and Renigunta stations. The cost of the package is Rs.8,505 for sleeper class and Rs.10,395 for AC coach.

Devotees will be provided accommodations on multi-sharing basis, refreshments, breakfast, lunch, dinner, one litre water per day, tour escort and complete security on train, Mr. Madhusudan Rao added.
