Implement pay revision immediately: employees JAC

February 02, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:55 am IST - VIJAYAWADA:

State Government Employees Associations’ Joint Action Committee (JAC) has demanded that the government implement pay revision immediately.

JAC chairman A. Vidyasagar in a press release on Sunday said that the government employees were eagerly waiting for implementation of the Pay Revision Commission (PRC) for the last two years. The government assured the employees that it would announce pay revision as Sankranti gift. However, the government has not taken any decision so far in this regard, he pointed out.

The employees associations would meet at Hyderabad on February 3 to discuss issues such as 69 per cent fitment, implementation of pay revision from July 2013 and House Rent Allowance (HRA). The JAC would meet Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on February 4 or 5 to apprise him of the decisions taken at the meeting. The employees would be forced to agitate if the government failed to respond positively, he cautioned.

Health cards

Mr. Vidyasgar said that the employees were paying premium for health cards from November last. However, the private and corporate hospitals were not interested in offering services to the health card holders. Pensioners and class IV employees were at the receiving end owing to indifferent approach of the hospitals. The government was expected to address the issue on war-footing, he said.
