The football ground of Andhra Loyola College (ALC) turned into an equestrian arena for an hour on Wednesday with the cadets of 3 (Andhra) Remount & Veterinary Regiment NCC Wing of ALC performing a variety of equestrian activities at the Horse Show-2017.

The five horses — Tymor, Alex, Tushar, Gold Star and Vivion — rode by cadets K. Ravi, S.A. Basha, P. Chandu, Divya and Jaya Krishna of the College performed the activities. Starting with the flag march and standing salute, all the four boys and one girl performed trot and canter riding with their horses.

Of all the activities, the Show Jumping was a major attraction of the show. In all eight rounds, the riders got through all the eight hurdles of the show jumping circuit and every time the horses came over the hurdles, the audience were set for excitement. Though one of the horses turned troublesome, the rest of the cadets pulled off the activities. The mighty tent pegging feat by Sk. A. Basha and P. Chandu at the end of the show set a perfect ending to the activities.

One of the five riders whose performance will be adjudged the best will be selected to perform at the Republic Day Celebrations in New Delhi.
