In the run-up to the first Mahanadu of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) after bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh State, the district TDP units held their own independent mini-Mahanadus on Sunday to chalk out agenda for the three-day big event scheduled to start in Hyderabad from May 27.
In Srikakulam, Labour Minister K. Atchennaidu asked the party workers to highlight the achievements of Chandrababu Naidu's government and strengthen the party at grass root level.

In East Godavari district party in-charge Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao inaugurated the event at Annavaram.
Addressing party workers, he said there was a need to make common people aware of welfare schemes implemented by the State government. “Every worker should take the message of Mr. Chandrababu Naidu to the common man explaining to him how the government had been implementing welfare schemes for them despite severe financial crisis,” he said, referring to the farm and SHG loan waiver schemes. Home Minister N. Chinna Rajappa, Rajahmundry MP M. Murali Mohan, party’s district unit president Parvatha Chitti Babu, MLAs and other elected representatives were present.
