A first-of-its kind ‘Mobile Foto Quest 01’ was conducted at Andhra Loyola College on Tuesday.
The competition, conducted to harness growing mobile mania in the city, saw enthusiastic students-cum-photographers throng the college premises.
A few tips
Noted photographer D. Chandra Sekar lauded the spirit of the students and gave a few professional inputs for the amateur photographers.
Head of the college’s Visual Communication Department, who spoke on the occasion, said such contests help sharpen creativity among students. He stressed the need for students to be passionate and professional in their chosen field.
Prize winners
The contest was open to all students, irrespective of the department. In all, 130 students participated with photographs on various themes.
The photographs titled “How will you see” by Gaurav Kumar, “The Last Drops” by Prateek, and “Granular” by Lokesh were awarded the first, second, and third prizes respectively.
The competition was conducted with the sole intention of stimulating the creative abilities of students, said staff co-ordinator Vidya Sagar.
