The team of Foster + Partners has presented the final designs of Secretariat complex in capital Amaravati before Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday.

According to the designs presented in the CRDA meeting held here, the proposed Secretariat complex consists of five towers with more than 40 floors each.

All the towers coming up around the Pala Vaagu in the core capital region would be interconnected with a 600-metre-long road.

While the offices of Chief Minister and General Administration Department are located in the same tower called as CM tower having 46 floors, another tower adjacent to it will be Chief Secretary tower. The two towers will be on one side of the Pala Vaagu and three others for the Ministers, HoDs and Secretaries will be on the other side of the stream, according to the designs.

Food plazas, sports arenas in separate buildings will be part of the Secretariat complex.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Naidu said that the Secretariat complex should have public space where visitors could spend quality time. He said having the public presence alongside iconic structures make the complex vibrant.

The designs will be put before the legislators on Friday for feedback and review.
