Former Congress minister D. Manikya Vara Prasad joined Telugu Desam Party in the presence of party president and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu here on Sunday. Welcoming him into the party, Mr. Naidu sought the people’s cooperation in development of the State.
Social Welfare Minister Ravela Kishore Babu, TDP MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao and other leaders from Guntur District were present. Mr. Vara Prasad said that Mr. Sambasiva Rao and other friends in the TDP had urged him to join the party so that they could work together.
