Five burglars, two juveniles held in separate cases

The Central Crime Station (CCS) police arrested five thieves and two juveniles allegedly involved in house burglaries and vehicle thefts in two cases.

They recovered booty worth about Rs. 2 lakh and 15 two-wheelers from their possession on Saturday.

Police apprehended V. Chanti, M. Ramesh and K. Vinod on charges of committing house burglaries in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States. They recovered two laptops, camera, LED TV, mobile phones, two ipods, gold and silver jewellery, worth about Rs. 2 lakh from them.

In another case, police arrested D. Akhilesh and K. Yedukondalu, residents of the city, and two juveniles, and seized 15 bikes from their possession.

The accused stole the vehicles at different places in Vijayawada Police Commissionerate and Krishna district limits, said the police in a press release.
