The city police have found that 67 vehicles, including two- and four-wheelers, were moving with fake number plates. The police also noticed that 33 motorcycles were abandoned at railway station and bus station parking lots. The police slapped e-challans on motorists and four-wheeler users who violated the traffic rules at various junctions in the city. The RTA data indicated that they were using registration number allotted to some other vehicles. A few cars including a Tata Indica, an Omni van, a small Ambassador, a Martuti Matiz and motorcycles were abandoned at the parking lots. Police Commissioner N. Madhusudhan Reddy said that the people could give information about this kind of vehicles by calling crime stopper 1090, police control room 100, and CCS 0866-2572024, 0866- 2534838, 9490619469, 9440906879.
