Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has suggested to the officials to draw water from the Srisailam reservoir to meet the drinking water requirements of Guntur and Prakasam districts.
Mr. Naidu reviewed the drinking water availability status in the State with officials of water resources here on Wednesday. The officials brought to the government’s notice that the situation was precarious in Guntur and Prakasam districts.
In the present circumstances, the drinking water requirements cannot be met from Nagarjuna Sagar reservoir. Hence, 8 tmcft of water can be drawn from Srisailam, he said.
