Career, love, and parents! These are the essence of life and none should miss any of these, said noted film director Sekhar Kammula.
The student should be able to set the goal even before he or she leaves the college. The efforts should be on and on until the set goal was achieved, he said.
The director took part in a valedictory of Surabhi National Cultural and Youth Fest 2013 organised at K L University in Guntur district near here on Saturday.
On the occasion, he said that students need to identify the area of his or her interest to pursue as career. They should air their views and speak boldly with their parents. But, they should not have a spat with them, he said, adding, “Try to convince them about your choice and field of interest. Love your parents, and do not wage war against them.”
The students tend to fall in love with their peers. It’s not the end of life if a girl rejects the love. Nor be dejected if she was in love with another person. And finally never ever try to harass the girl who rejected your love, he said.
Latent talent
Apart from regular curricular activities, the students need to focus on extra curricular activities as well. Every person, by birth, has innate attraction to some kind of art. The students should identify that spark in them, and learn and promote the art, he said.
KLU president Koneru Satyanarayana said that they have plans to develop research facilities in the campus. KLU secretary Kanchana Lata, Padmavathi Mahila University Dean Vijaya Lakshmi, KLU Vice-Chancellor Srihari Rao, principal Ananda Kumar, and convener Hanumantha Rao were present.
