The Andhra Pradesh government is moving fast to equip the truncated State with all the frills of a modern city. Infrastructure development on a large-scale is on the cards, with the government planning to bring in latest technologies and designs for its proposed projects.

Housing sector is evidently set to witness a boom what with builders embarking on projects like palatial buildings and villas that have started adorning the suburban parts of city. To cash in on the present mood and the rapid pace at which things are moving, three women entrepreneurs got together to launch SAS Designs.

The name SAS denotes their names — Sudha, Afshan and Samana. Ms. Sudha is a designer from Telangana who has bagged ‘Bharat Vikas Ratan’ for her individual achievement in economic and social development.

Afshan is also a Hyderabad-based interior designer, who is passionate about style and detailing, while Samana is a city-based entrepreneur, successfully running an institute of fashion design studies.

Enhancing lifestyles, livelihood

The new firm was launched at TFL in Mogulrajpuram on Saturday. Addressing a meeting organised in this connection, Ms. Sudha said: “Our design profession is about creating beautiful spaces that enhance lifestyles and livelihood. When an individual lives or works in an aesthetic and well-designed space, his/her thoughts are more positive and focussed.”

Ms. Afshan said Make in India, Start-up India and Brand India are all wonderful concepts where free-thinking people can choose to give up lucrative positions to make a difference to their community and society. “It is with this goal and ambition that we have floated SAS Designs,” she explained. Ms. Samana said the rapidly-changing Vijayawada needs firms like SAS Designs to contribute to the emerging lifestyle of people. The firm will play a pivotal role in helping people make the transition into a world of modernity.
