A hands on workshop on the management of a cardiac arrest, difficulties in air way clearing, cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and other emergencies was conducted by experts for second year post-graduate students at Aayush Hospitals in collaboration with the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM), in Vijayawada on Sunday.

Apollo Chennai Critical care consultants Ramesh Venkata Ramana and Aswin Mani conducted the workshop with advanced mannequins. Dr Mani who is also a pulmonologist explained to the students the various emergencies that arise when the air ways get blocked.
