It will help implement building rules and redress genuine public grievances

In a significant move towards regulating construction activity in Amaravati, the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (AP-CRDA) opened a Development Facilitation Centre (DFC) on its premises on Saturday.

The DFC will take care of the implementation of the building rules and redress genuine public grievances as far as their properties are concerned.

It will be open on weekends (Saturdays) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Technical help

Led by Director (Development Control) V. Ramudu, the CRDA officials will render technical assistance to builders, investors, developers, and the general public in following the rules thereof.

Details of different application forms that are to be submitted to the CRDA, fee payable on them, setbacks to be provided, and other issues related to compliance will be made known to the stakeholders.

According to an official release, the CRDA planners and engineers will throw light on the capital region, capital city, master plans, zonal development plans, building and layout rules, National Building Code, and land use to enable the people to adhere to the guidelines and thereby check illegal constructions in the planning stage itself.

Doubts get clarified

On the first day of the functioning of the DFC, a large number of people got their doubts clarified and some highlighted the problems faced by them in securing clearances for the construction of their residential and commercial buildings.
