The Communist Party of India (CPI) has taken a critical view of Union Cabinet berths given to MPs from the State.
The party observed that the Congress party attempted to put away the issue of taking decision on separate statehood to Telangana region with the Union Cabinet expansion.
Addressing the CPI city council meeting here on Sunday, the CPI State secretary K. Narayana said that the political uncertainty prevailing in the State would not be solved with the Cabinet expansion and ministerial berths to the MPs from the State.
The Congress would not reap any harvest with Cabinet expansion until the Telangana issue was resolved, he said.
The UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra was involved in scams amounting to hundreds of crores of rupees. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh himself was caught in Rs.10 lakh crore rupees coal scam.
The Congress party suffocated with the scam after scam hatched Cabinet expansion plan to divert the attention of the public.
Bharateeya Janata Party president Nitin Gadkari was also involved in scams, he said, adding, these issues would be discussed at the CPI national executive meeting soon.
Mr. Narayana said that Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy was grossly neglecting the public issues. Ms. Sonia Gandhi announced that nine subsidised LPG cylinders would be supplied in the Congress-ruled states, but Mr. Reddy had asserted that it would be applicable only for Deepam connections.
The Chief Minister, if he were capable, should ensure that the coal and gas resources available in the State are utilised for the State needs, he challenged.
