Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has offered Group II job to Lakshmi Prasanna who lost her family members in a tragic incident recently at Tadipatri in Anantapur district. She is lone survivor of her family and had lost her mother and two sisters when her father bludgeoned them to death last week. Her father later committed suicide by consuming poison.

Anantapur MP J.C. Diwakar Reddy and his brother Prabhakar Reddy brought her to the Secretariat near here on Tuesday following Mr. Naidu’s suggestion. When Chief Minister enquired about her educational qualifications, Ms. Prasanna told him that she studied M.Sc (organic chemistry). Following which, Mr. Naidu discussed the matter with the officials and decided to give Group-II job. Suggesting her to remain confident in her life, he assured her of support in case she wants to study further after getting the job.

Mr. Naidu suggested her to meet him once in six months. He also promised that the government would support her if she aspired to continue her education even after joining the job. The Chief Minister earlier announced ₹20-lakh financial aid for her on July 5 at Muktapuram gram sabha in Anantpur district.
