December 06, 2011 11:08 am | Updated 11:08 am IST - VIJAYAWADA:

The leaders of the Andhra Pradesh Teachers Federation gave a call to the teachers and members to participate actively in the ‘Chalo Secretariat' programme to be held in Hyderabad on December 7 in support of their demands. They cancelled their ‘chalo assembly' programme in view of the ongoing session.

APTF state vice-president P. Panduranga Vara Prasad said that the Government should stop thinking of going for new recruitment for the existing posts and fill up to 70 per cent vacancies by way of considering promotions for those waiting for a long time.
