Sporting black flags, a few farmers at Undavalli staged a protest against the visit of a delegation of Singapore and Andhra Pradesh officials which conducted an aerial survey over Tullur, Mangalagiri and Tadepalli mandals, the proposed capital region of Andhra Pradesh. Led by MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, farmers gathered at Undavalli and protested against the land pooling system by sporting black flags.
The MLA had earlier warned that farmers would confront the delegation if they visit the proposed capital region to make a survey. But a possible confrontation was averted with the delegation choosing to conduct an aerial survey.
