As the Sun rises on Wednesday morning, break free from your house and set out to explore a rare celestial wonder-Transit of Venus. Jana Vignana Vedika, Guntur, is making arrangements for viewing of the rare occurrence on the Kankaragunta RoB from 7.30 a.m. District general secretary N. Venkateswarulu said the viewers could observe the event through specially made filters brought from Mumbai.
The event is the last of its kind in the century. It is a rare planetary alignment as this is the last pair for this century.
The transits of Venus occur when the planet (Sukra) comes in between the Sun and the Earth.
The Venus would appear as a small black dot on the face of the sun.
