APTDC plans music and masti for New Year

The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation is making arrangements to welcome the New Year with music and masti on the banks of the Krishna on the night of December 31.

A bunch of entertainment programmes have been lined up at Haritha Berm Park for five hours from 7.30 p.m.

Competitions that promise fun and frolic will be conducted for the participants and fabulous gifts presented to them at the end of the entertainment session.

Revealing the details to the media on board ‘Bodhisiri’ boat on Saturday, APTDC Divisional Manager G. Ramakrishna said that musical programme by child artistes of the popular television show ‘Little Champs,’ mimicry, fireworks and cine dances would be the special attractions of ‘Hot Mix – Shake the Rhythm’, the New Year programme to be conducted at Haritha Berm Park.

“Child singers Sahithi and Yasaswi will sing popular film songs, while DTS Anand will entertain the pubic with his mimicry. Fireworks by Ashok Kumar will be a feast for the eyes,” he said.

Competitions would be conducted for children and elders.

Prizes would be given by the APTDC and other sponsors of the programme.

The APTDC would offer free accommodation in its resorts at Dindi, Suryalanka and Nagarjuna Sagar to the winners of the competition.

“Similarly, we are introducing a lucky draw at our bar every month.”

“We will give coupons to those who buy liquor worth Rs. 500 or more and select the winners by a lucky draw on the first day of every month. They will be given free accommodation coupons,” he said.

Special dinner

The New Year bash includes special dinner with a hot drink, a soft drink, 23 vegetarian delicacies and two non-vegetarian items.

The entry fee would be Rs. 499 per adult, Rs. 299 per child and Rs. 888 per couple. For passes, one could call 98480-07025 or 98487-79686.

“The entry is limited to the first 80 guests. We are offering special group packages for groups consisting of 25 people and more,” Mr. Ramakrishna explained.
