Aiming high, accomplishing the goal, pursuing excellence and perpetual success were required to reach zenith in the life, according to HR consultant M.C. Das.
The Hindu Business Line in association with State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH) organised the B.L. Club Talk on ‘Dynamics of achievement’ at Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies, APIIIT, Nuzvid, here on Monday.
Addressing the jam-packed seminar hall, Mr. Das said that achievements keep a person moving and active. It also gives the thrill of success. The satisfaction and success put new goals and new challengers before the achiever.
Habit of learning lessons from fallacies and moving forward were required for a perpetual success and achieving goal after goal, he said.
As nothing comes out of nothing, Mr. Das said, one should have self-confidence, both physical fitness and psychological endurance, to achieve the set goals. The students need to have total awareness of importance of studies; they have to study with enthusiasm and enjoying the studies. Creativity in studies was essential to stand out of the crowd, he said.
Basic traitsThe successful achiever believes in timely actions and never postpones his or her tasks. Keeping total information on developments taking place around him or her were some of the basic traits of an achiever, he said, adding, “One should be ready to learn and serve. The ultimate goal of life is to serve the community and society.”
SBH General Manager Vijayawada Network J. Sitapathi Sarma said that his bank earmarks one percent of the profits for taking up corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities. As a part of it, the bank gifted a two-wheeler to a physically challenged girl student M. Yamini studying engineering first year at the IIIT. The bank was catering to the needs of students in all IIITs in the state. It has plans to open one more ATM at APIIIT, Nuzvid for the convenience of girl students, he said.
APIIIT Nuzvid Director Ibrahim Khan said that the students immensely benefit by inculcating habit of reading newspapers. An engineering college at Hyderabad made it compulsory to read The Hindu during travel to the college. Many of those students succeeded in campus interviews, he said, quoting the HR executive who shared the information with him.
