Frenzy over movies and star actors picked up pace in the city, particularly Gandhi Nagar, on Tuesday as veteran actor Chiranjeevi’s comeback movie, Khaidi No. 150, nearly after a gap of a decade is all set to release on Wednesday.

Adding to the mania is release of another top hero and legislator N. Balakrishna’s movie Gautamiputra Satakarni on Thursday.

Starting from Tuesday afternoon, men and women queued up at cinemas in Gandhi Nagar for tickets of Khaidi No. 150 as some of the managements opened advance bookings.

All the cinemas in Gandhi Nagar have been decked up with huge banners and cut-outs of the actor. Meanwhile, city police restricted any sort of early shows or benefit shows of both the movies in a bid to avoid clashes between the followers of both the actors. Additional forces have been deployed at the cinemas playing Khaidi No. 150 .

A majority of the cinemas and multiplexes sold out the tickets by Tuesday evening, and it is learnt that some sold them at abnormal prices. People trying for tickets on online platforms were left disappointed as they could not book any.
