The Central Crime Station (CCS) police on Monday arrested a seven-member robber gang involved in more than 11 thefts. They also recovered 156 grams of gold ornaments worth nearly Rs. 3 lakh from their possession.
Disclosing this to the media here on Monday, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Additional DCP-Crimes) G. Ramakoteswara Rao said the accused, all natives of Siddapuram village, Kurnool district, committed the offences at various places in the State.
The gang targeted lone passengers, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) P. Sunder Raju said.
The accused were wanted in theft cases in Krishnalanka, One Town, Patamata and Penamaluru police stations, CCS ACP V.S.N. Varma said.
