Tiruchi district — comprising nine Assembly constituencies — accounts for 22,01,513 voters.

The final electoral rolls, released on Wednesday, show that women voters (11,26,522) outnumber men (10,74,806). The list has 185 voters in ‘others’ category.

Out of nine constituencies, Srirangam accounts for the maximum number of voters with 2,88,904 followed by 2,74,313 in Thiruverumbur.

Female voters outnumber men in all constituencies.

Lalgudi has least number

Lalgudi is at the bottom of the list with a voting population of 2,07,494.

While Manapparai has 2,66,958, Tiruchi West has 2,56,708 voters. In other constituencies, Tiruchi East has 2,44,806, Manachanallur 2,25,704 and Thuraiyur (SC) 2,17,496.

Releasing the final electoral rolls in the presence of officials and representatives of political parties, Collector K. Rajamani said the final list would be displayed in the Corporation main office, revenue offices and all polling centres for public viewing.

The draft rolls released last year had a total of 22,09,872 voters: men 10,78,575; women 11,31,112; and others 185.

Based on the applications received during the campaign for summary revision of rolls during October-December last year, a total of 18,343 voters — men 9,025, women 9,316 and others 2 — have been included.

A total of 26,702 voters — men 12,794, women 13,906 and others 2 — have been deleted for various reasons including change of address and death.

The district had 21,97,510 voters in the list released on January 5, 2017.
