The petition claimed that a piece of land belonging to Manimekalai’s family at Melur was given on lease to Nallusamy. As Nallusamy hesitated to vacate the site even after expiry of the lease agreement period, a complaint was lodged with the Srirangam police station.

Karthika Devi is undergoing treatment in a private hospital, the petitioner said and sought appropriate action against the Inspector.
