A striking mixture of colours, prints, and fabrics from various States across the country are available for display and sale at the Rajasthan Crafts Mela 2014 at SRT Hall, Thillainagar in the city.
The exhibition, which began on Wednesday, is being organised by Hastakala Gram Samithi, Jaipur, and will conclude on April 14. It will be open from 9 a.m. to 9.30 p.m.
The 12-day event offers the people of Tiruchi various fabrics from different States of the country under one roof.
There was a summer special discount of 20 per cent on handlooms and 10 per cent on handicrafts.

Special handloom woven fabrics and prints such as Kota silk from Kota in Rajasthan, Benaras silk from Uttar Pradesh, Chikankari (hand embroidered) cottons from Lucknow, woollen shawls, and silk saris from Kashmir, traditional block prints from Rajasthan, Kantha, and Tant from West Bengal, Bandhej, and ethnic print from Gujarat, Kalamkari, and Mangalagiri from Andhra Pradesh, Mooga silk from Assam, Kos, and Ghiccha from bihar, Fulkari, and Sindhi stitch from Punjab are available.
The range of textiles available includes saris, dresses, bedcovers, bed-sheets, and sofa covers.
Various types of jewellery, including 1 gram gold, navaratna, and Jaipur stone jewellery are available.
