The Institute of Entrepreneurship and Career Development (IECD) of the Bharathidasan University will offer special summer certificate programmes for students of class 5 to 12, youths and housewives. The certificate programmes will be offered in basic computer operations, Tally ERP9, computer hardware and networking, laptop maintenance and servicing. The IECD will offer 50 per cent scholarship for SC/ST candidates, 25 per cent for MBC and BC candidates and 100 per cent scholarship to differently abled candidates.
The programmes will commence from April 20 and admissions will be open from April 15. All programmes will be conducted on weekdays in two batches between 9.30 a.m. and 1.30 p.m. and from 2.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.
Candidates, who wish to undergo the courses, can appear with their educational, community, and disability certificates at the IECD between 9.30 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. on all week days between April 15 and 20, according to a release from K. Parathasarathy, Director, IECD, Bharathidasan University. Applications and prospectus can be had on submission of a demand draft for Rs. 50 drawn in any nationalised bank in favour of The Director, IECD, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchi-23.
