Rane Engine Valve Limited, Viralimalai, a manufacturing facility under Rane Holdings Limited, Chennai, honoured SSLC public examination toppers of Government Higher Secondary School, Kodumbalur with cash awards. The cash awards were given as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility drive.

S. Valli Theivanai, who was the school topper with a tally of 453 marks out of a maximum 500, was a given a cheque of Rs. 5,000.
N. Vijayalakshmi (431 marks) and P. Niranjana (427), were placed second and third respectively and they were given Rs. 3,000 and Rs. 2,000 respectively.
