Members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (ABVP) staged a demonstration here on Wednesday urging the administration to shift the college hostel to the new building built by the Backward Classes Welfare Department.

Led by T. Tirupathi, coordinator, they raised slogans.
They said that the hostel was accommodated in a private building at Woraiyur. Although a new building was constructed near the Government E.V.R. Arts College a few years ago, it was yet to be utilised.
Later, they presented a memorandum to Collector.
