On the eve of the presentation of the Railway Budget, the Thanjavur District Rail Users’ Association has put forward its wish list to the railway ministry.
Allocation of more funds for better amenities, opening of a coach facility, introduction of a new train and increasing the frequency of another forms part of the wish list of the association.
The association vice-president, A.Giri, appealed to the Railway Ministry to introduce a new train from Thanjavur to Mumbai CST via main line to connect various pilgrim centres such as Thanjavur, Kumbakonam, Chidambaram, Tirupati, and Mantralayam.
