A nearly 10-feet long python was caught by firefighters at Agarapatti village, near Pudukottai, on Tuesday.

The python was spotted near the road-side by villagers, who alerted the firefighters. A team from Pudukottai went to the spot and caught the python and later handed it to the Forest Deparment. The python was later released into the reserve forest at Narthamalai.
