Priority accorded for infrastructure

Government accords priority for providing infrastructure in government colleges for the benefit of the students, said S.Jeyabaskaran Charles, Director of Collegiate Education, here on Monday.

Addressing a function after inaugurating new buildings with classrooms constructed at the Government Arts College for Women here, the Director said that the government was now providing labs and other facilities in colleges and advised the students to make use of these facilities provided to them.

He pointed out that hitherto some classes were conducted in the shades of trees in the Government Arts College here and new classrooms were built to accommodate all the students.

R.Umarani, principal of the college presided. K. Kala, former principal of the college, S.Madhnavalli, HOD of Zoology, T.Nallathambi, principal, Sudharsan Arts College, Sathiyamangalam spoke on the occasion.
