Counselling for admission to the Srirangam Government Polytechnic College, Sethurapatti, will be held from June 30 to July 4, according to a release from S. Muruganathan, principal of the college. The polytechnic offers five diploma programmes in civil, mechanical, electrical and electronics, electronics and communication engineering, and computer engineering, with an intake of 60 students each. The college has received about 600 applications and the counselling would be held as per the following schedule: June 30 - 10.30 a.m.: For candidates with 425 marks and above, 1 p.m. – for candidates with 401 to 424 marks; July 1 - 9.30 a.m. – for candidates with 376 to 400 marks, 1.30 p.m. – for candidates with 351 to 375 marks; July 4 - 9.30 a.m. for candidates with 301 to 350 marks and 1.30 p.m. – for candidates with 300 marks and below. Those who have not received the call letters can also participate in the counselling as per the schedule, Mr. Muruganathan said.
