Patients protest at government hospital

August 01, 2015 12:00 am | Updated March 29, 2016 12:27 pm IST - TIRUCHI:

A group of patients staged a protest at the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Hospital in the city on Friday condemning the delay in issue of medicines to them.

The protesters, who had been waiting in a long queue, complained that the process of the issuing medicines took a long time and there was much delay in the computerised process. They demanded alternative arrangements for quick issue of medicines. Senior officials of the hospital pacified the agitators and assured them that steps would be taken to issue the medicines quickly.
