Over 150 lawyers tendered their resignation en masse from the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) here on Wednesday as part of the continuing protests against the amendments to the statutory rules.

Hunger strike

Taking cue from the resignations tendered by lawyers across the State from respective District Legal Services Authority, the lawyers here, protesting against the amendments that empower judges to take action against errant lawyers, put in their resignations from the DLSA. As part of the protests, the lawyers also sat on a relay hunger strike near new bus stand demanding the revocation of what they termed the “black law”.
