Offerings from Srirangam sent to Srivilliputhur

In connection with Aadipooram car festival at Andal Temple, Srivilliputhur, on Monday, Sri Ranganatha Swamy Temple in Srirangam has sent a number of items as ‘seervarisai’.

These items, including vasthram, garlands and fruits were taken in a procession to the Ranga Ranga Gopuram from the Ranga Vilas Mantap by S.Kalyani, Joint Commissioner, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments, and S.Sundar Bhattar, priest, on Saturday evening.

Early on Sunday morning, these items were taken to Srivilliputhur.

According to the convention, Andal would be wearing the vasthram provided by the Srirangam Temple when she goes in a procession on Monday.
