A total number of 21 cadets of the Tiruchi NCC Group represented the Tamil Nadu, Andaman and Puducherry Directorate Team in the Republic Day Camp, 2010 held in New Delhi last month.
Flight Cadet S. Vivek of 3 TN Air Squadron (Tech) NCC, Tiruchi, and a student of St. Joseph’s College, Tiruchi, bagged the bronze medal in the “Aeromodelling Control Line Aerobatics” contest in the Republic Day Camp, 2010.
NCC Infantry cadets S. Suriya Narayanan and N. Bakkiyaraj and Cadet N. Ashok Jackson of 2 TN Armoured Squadron NCC, Tiruchi – all three from St. Joseph’s College, Tiruchi - were part of the Tamil Nadu contingent in the Prime Minister’s Rally held at New Delhi last month. Cadet Ashok Jackson was the Right Market in the Tamil Nadu Directorate contingent.
Cadets S. Dinesh Chakravarthy and R. Vinoth Kumar were part of the Tamil Nadu contingent which bagged the third position in the All India Thal Sainik Camp held at New Delhi.
Rev. R. Rajarathinam, Principal, St. Joseph’s College and other staff members commended the achievement of the NCC cadets of the college.
