Leaders pay tribute to Rajiv Gandhi

Officials of the Collector’s Office in the city took the anti-terrorism pledge on the occasion of the death anniversary of the former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi here on Wednesday.

Collector Jayashree Muralidharan administered the pledge to the government employees at the Collectorate.

Garlanded

Corporation officials and elected representatives took the pledge under the leadership of Deputy Mayor Mariam Asick.

Garlanding the statues and portraits of Rajiv Gandhi and administering anti-terrorism pledge marked the late leader’s death anniversary across the district on Wednesday.

Led by G. Jerome Arokyaraj, president of the Tiruchi urban district unit of the party, Congress cadre and members of the various wings of the party, garlanded the statue of Rajiv Gandhi at Junction.

Sarubala R. Tondaiman, state vice president of the party and others were present.

Anti-terrorism pledge was administered to the Congressmen.
