Members of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) staged a demonstration in front of the Municipal Office here on Monday, demanding the expeditious and proper implementation of the underground drainage scheme in the town.

Water supply

They also demanded augmentation of drinking water supply to the residents of the town and distribution of house-site patta to the residents of Kamarajapuram.

Nainar Nagendran, former Minister, led the demonstration in which a number of women also participated. R. Nedunchezhian and N. Subramanian, both MLAs and Karuppiah, district secretary of the party participated.
