IIM-Trichy won the first prize in Larsen & Toubro’s prestigious Case Study Competition ‘L&T OutThink’ on the theme, EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Constructive) Business vertical of Hydrocarbon sector, earlier this month.
The team from IIM-Trichy, comprising Abirbhav Mukherjee, Anupam Raj, and Shivansh Namdeo, was adjudged unanimously as the winner of the final round.
The other finalists included teams from IIM-Bangalore, IIM-Ahmedabad, FMS-Delhi, IIM-Kozhikode, NITIE-Mumbai, IIM-Rohtak and IIM-Jammu. A total of 3,160 students from 27 business schools participated in the first round and 30 teams were shortlisted.
In round 2, only eight teams made it to the finals, which saw an intense battle among the top B-schools of India. The students of IIM-Trichy competed with their outstanding case analysis and presentation, ultimately emerging as winners of L&T OutThink. The team was awarded a cash prize of ₹1 lakh.
