Group II services examinations held

A total of 38,012 candidates appeared for the Combined Civil Service Examination II (Group II services) at 110 centres in the district.

Of the total 48,744 applied for the examinations, 10,732 failed to appear. Web cameras were installed in four centres while the examination session was videographed in other centres. District Collector V. Sampath along with officials inspected Sona College of Technology.

Namakkal

In Namakkal district, 27,401 candidates appeared for the examinations held at 92 centres. District Collector V. Dakshinamoorthy inspected a few centres in the district. Web camera was used in four centres. Examination session was videographed in 61 centres.

Krishnagiri

In Krishnagiri district, the examination was held in 55 centres in which 12,136 appeared. A total of 16,380 had applied. District Collector C. Kadiravan inspected the centres.

Erode

Of the 29,868 applicants in Erode district, 22,619 candidates, including eight differently abled, took up the Combined Civil Services Examination - II (Non Interview Posts) (Group II A Services), conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission.

The examination was conducted at 95 centres. District Collector S. Prabakar inspected a centre at the Erode Girls Government Higher Secondary School.

Eight flying squads led by officials in the rank of Deputy Collector monitored the conduct of the examination.

Seventeen mobile teams were entrusted with the tasks of distributing question papers and collecting answer sheets.
